Why Franklin Physical Therapy

Why Choose Franklin Physical Therapy

Sussex County has plenty of physical therapy options. Here's what sets Franklin Physical Therapy apart.

One-on-One Care, Every Visit

Every session is one-on-one with a licensed therapist, start to finish. You get focused, hands-on treatment and a plan that stays consistent as you progress.

New Patients Seen Within 48 Hours

Call today and we'll usually have you evaluated within two business days — no waiting weeks to get started.

Most Major Insurance Accepted

We're in-network with most major insurance plans. Physical therapy shouldn't come with a financial headache.

Advanced Dry Needling Certification

Performed by a clinician with advanced certification — effective for muscle tension, pain relief, and recovery.

Early Morning & Saturday Hours

We open at 6am Monday through Friday and offer Saturday appointments to fit your schedule.

Locally Owned, Community-Focused

An independent, locally owned practice, not a corporate chain. You're a neighbor here, and we treat you like one.

A Clinic Built to Match the Care

Franklin Physical Therapy isn't a converted storefront with a folding table and a stack of resistance bands. The clinic is outfitted with equipment you won't find at most local practices, in a space designed to feel comfortable, not clinical. Grab a coffee or water in the waiting area and settle in. We built this space with your recovery in mind.

Home Visits When You Need Them

Getting to a clinic right after surgery or with limited mobility isn't always realistic. For patients who need it, we start care at home with the evaluation and early sessions, then move treatment into our Franklin clinic as you're able.

What We Treat

Physical Therapy Services in Franklin, NJ

Franklin Physical Therapy treats a wide range of conditions. Select a condition below to learn more.

Knee Pain & Dysfunction

Knee Pain & Dysfunction

Knee pain from injury, arthritis, or post-surgical recovery is one of the most common conditions we treat. We work to restore strength, range of motion, and stability so you can get back to moving without second-guessing every step.

Back Pain & Dysfunction

Back Pain & Dysfunction

Back pain affects more adults than almost any other condition, and it rarely resolves on its own. We treat disc injuries, muscle strain, sciatica, and chronic lower back pain with a plan built specifically for you, aimed at lasting improvement rather than short-term management.

Hip Pain

Hip Pain

Hip pain from arthritis, bursitis, or surgery can limit even basic movements like walking, climbing stairs, or getting out of a chair. We use manual therapy and targeted strengthening to reduce pain and get you moving again.

Ankle Pain & Instability

Ankle Pain & Instability

Ankle sprains, chronic instability, and fractures all respond well to physical therapy when the approach is right. We focus on strength, balance, and retraining the joint to reduce the risk of re-injury.

Shoulder Pain

Shoulder Pain

Rotator cuff tears, frozen shoulder, impingement, and post-surgical recovery all respond well to physical therapy. We focus on restoring range of motion and rebuilding strength in a way that keeps pace with where your body actually is.

Neck Pain & Headaches

Neck Pain & Headaches

Neck stiffness, chronic tension, and headaches are often connected, and physical therapy can address all three. We work on posture, muscle tension, and joint mobility to reduce pain and bring down how often symptoms flare up.

TMJ Disorders

TMJ Disorders

TMJ disorders cause jaw pain, clicking, and tension that affect eating, speaking, and sleep. Our clinicians use specialized manual therapy and exercises to improve jaw movement and reduce pain.

Scar Management

Scar Management

Post-surgical and injury-related scar tissue can restrict movement and cause discomfort long after the wound has healed. Our scar management program works to improve tissue mobility and reduce tightness so you get the most out of your recovery.

Dry Needling

Dry Needling

Dry needling targets tight muscle bands and trigger points to release tension and reduce pain. Performed by a clinician with advanced certification, it works well alongside hands-on physical therapy.

FAQS

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?+

Franklin Physical Therapy accepts Medicare and most major commercial insurance plans. If you're not sure about your specific coverage, call us and we'll verify your benefits before your first visit.

Do I need a referral from my doctor to start physical therapy?+

No. New Jersey allows direct access to physical therapy, so you can schedule an evaluation and begin treatment without a doctor's referral. One exception: Medicare requires a physician's script, which is a quick formality we can help you sort out. A prescription can be helpful in some cases, but for most patients it isn't required to get started.

What should I expect at my first appointment?+

Your first visit is a one-on-one evaluation. We'll go over your history, assess what's going on, and put together a clear picture of what treatment will look like.

Do you offer home visits?+

Yes. We offer home visits for initial evaluations and early sessions before transitioning care to our Franklin clinic.

How long does each session take?+

Your first evaluation runs about an hour. Follow-up sessions are 30 or 60 minutes depending on your treatment plan.
